I love it, but it's so expensive and way too big for my shelves.

I did a model of the Titanic years ago, but it was much smaller.

Why does it have the US flag on it (look near the bow)? White Star Lines was a British company (unless they’re claiming it because their successor’s successor’s successor is part-American owned).

Or you could just empty the box into a full bath and claim it’s how it looks now!? …….. too soon? Reddy_Rachael it does have the UK maritime flag at the bow(where it was registered) not sure why / if US flag was on one of the masts? Maybe because it was heading there?
Nelly
Just had a nosey around. Blue ensign flown at stern (not bow, need more coffee:grin:). The white star pennant was flown on the rear mast. The French flag was flown on entry to Cherbourg), the US flag on entering and leaving Queenstown (Ireland) on the front mast. https://www.graphicnews.com/en/p...View More

Reddy_Rachael Apparently it was the custom to fly the flag of the country they were bound for, in this case New York was the destination.

To all three posts above this: I didn't know that, so I stand corrected.
Nelly
