If there's an issue with gravity or pipework you can get a combined blender and pump to move the solid waste - but I suspect they had a deal and the pipes cost less. Deep joy.

It’s called a mascenator. It’s like a food processor, it chops up waste into pieces small enough to pass through small diameter pipes. Trouble is if lots of loo paper or any feminine hygiene products or wet wipes go down as they will clog the system.
